Privacy Policy

Solvuo ("we," "our," or "us"), accessible at solvuo.com, provides AI-assisted resume tailoring and ATS analysis. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website and services. It is intended to meet Indian disclosure expectations for online businesses that accept payments through a payment aggregator.

What we collect

Resume content, extracted as text from the document you upload — we do not store the original PDF or DOCX file itself, only the extracted text content.
Job description text, target role titles, or domain preferences you provide.
Account details such as email address, name (if provided), and authentication identifiers managed securely via Clerk.
Mobile number when you provide it at checkout (used for payment confirmation and receipts).
Transaction metadata we need for entitlements: plan or credit pack ID, amount, currency, order ID, payment status, and timestamps.
Payment credentials are not collected or stored by Solvuo. Card numbers, UPI PINs, net-banking passwords, and wallet credentials are entered only on Razorpay's PCI DSS compliant checkout and are processed by Razorpay under their own privacy terms.

How we use it

To compute your match score and generate tailored resume versions.
To create and fulfill checkout orders, allocate credits, and send receipts or expiry notices.
To authenticate you and secure your account.
To prevent fraud, debug payment failures, and comply with applicable law.
To improve the service in aggregate, non-identifying form where possible.

Payments and Razorpay

When you buy credits or an extension, we share with Razorpay the information required to process the payment — typically your name (if available), email, phone number, order amount, currency, and our merchant order reference. Razorpay may collect additional payment instrument details directly from you on their checkout. Solvuo receives back payment status, Razorpay payment/order IDs, and related webhook events so we can credit your account or issue refunds.

Razorpay acts as an independent payment aggregator / data fiduciary for payment processing. Their handling of your payment data is governed by the Razorpay Privacy Policy and applicable RBI / payment system rules. Transaction records may be retained by Razorpay and by Solvuo for accounting, dispute, chargeback, and legal retention requirements even after account deletion requests, to the extent required by law.

Who we share it with

Clerk — user authentication and secure account sign-in.
Supabase — managed database with row-level security.
Google (Gemini API) — to process resume and job description text for AI tailoring.
Razorpay — payment processing, refunds, and payment-related fraud checks (we do not store your card or bank credentials).
Resend — transactional email delivery (receipts, expiry alerts).
Sentry — application error monitoring (no payment credentials).
Render — cloud infrastructure and application hosting.
Authorized Solvuo personnel may access your account, entitlement, and transaction data solely to provide customer support, resolve billing or credit issues, and maintain the Service. Such access is logged and limited to what is necessary.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for advertising. We share data only with service providers who need it to operate Solvuo, or when required by law or a lawful request.

Cross-border data transfer

Some service providers (including Google for AI processing) may process data on servers outside India. By using Solvuo, you acknowledge this transfer. We work with providers that maintain industry-standard security and confidentiality practices. Payment instrument data is handled by Razorpay under their compliance programme.

Data retention

Resume text is retained until you delete your account or request deletion, subject to the schedule below.
Payment and entitlement records (order IDs, amounts, credit grants) are retained as needed for refunds, disputes, tax, and legal compliance.
You can delete your account from the avatar menu (Delete my account), or request deletion via contact@solvuo.com.

Retention schedule

We retain extracted resume text and account profile data while your account is active. If you purchase credits, related account data is kept at least through the credit validity period plus any extension. After account deletion, personal content is removed within 30 days, except transaction and security logs that we must keep longer under applicable law or payment-system rules.

Your rights

Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, or raise a privacy complaint. Contact us at contact@solvuo.com. Payment-instrument questions that only Razorpay can answer should be directed to Razorpay support as well.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (TLS encryption in transit, access controls, authenticated APIs) to protect your data. Card and UPI credentials are never stored on Solvuo servers. No electronic system is completely secure.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for sign-in (via Clerk), security, consent storage, and reliability monitoring (Sentry). If you accept analytics cookies, we load privacy-friendly Plausible Analytics (cookieless pageviews and product events). We do not load advertising pixels. You can change your choice anytime via Cookie settings in the footer.
